The Flounder is a bar but we order broasted chicken out when we want an easy family dinner. The Flounder is fun for karaoke and online poker too!

The Baymart

Located at the entry to Bayshore across the street from Meredith lodging. The perfect place to pick up a homemade breakfast sandwich and coffee. This little convenience store has so much more than chips and beer!

Historic Alsea Bay Bridge Interpretive Center

A favorite for kids or adults. The Alsea Bay Bridge is an iconic part of Waldport and the Alsea Bay. They even have a film of the previous bridge coming down!

Crabbing the Alsea

We may be biased, but the Alsea Bay has some of the best crabbing in the world.

Dock of the Bay Marina

A great place to rent a boat, crabbing rings and bait. *pro-tip* skip the mink and use bone in chicken for bait.

Shrimp Daddy

We cannot say enough about this business! It’s relatively new and we are lucky enough to know the owners personally. This is a one stop shop for bait for salmon and steelhead fishing. Need sand shrimp for bobber fishing? They have you covered! They will also cook and clean your crabs for an incredible deal.

Our favorite places to visit

Cape Perpetua Scenic Area

Just past Yachats you will find this amazing gem. Visit Thor’s Well, Devil’s Churn or the Visitor center for education and whale watching. You will not regret a visit to this beautiful forested headland. Stop in the visitor center for information on several hikes and don’t forget to purchase a parking pass!

Smelt Sands

This area boasts tide pools and shorebirds and amazing waves. Respect the ocean here and its power.

Beaver Creek Recreational Area

Need a kayak to explore this sensational area and wetlands? Look no farther than our garage! We have two adult and two kid’s kayaks with paddles and life jackets just for you!

Seal Rock

Another amazing place to view tide pools and gather mussels off of the rocks.

There are also several glass blowing companies in the immediate area.

And our VERY favorite activity of all is Fall Salmon Fishing!
